It's that time again. Time to put thought in writing and describe what is going on here. Well, in a nutshell, nothing is going on here. So, going to be a dry week, except for the rain today. (Saturday)
I'm sure all of you are out enjoying fireworks, family, friends and good food, weather permitting. I'm envious.
We did lose one resident overnight. My next door neighbor, Marie. RIP Marie.
Time for the Reds update: Reds went 5-5 in their last 10 games, and are now 2 games behind both St. Louis and Milwaukee. .5 game ahead of the dasterly Cubs. GO REDS!!!
All for this week, have a great week and I'll see you all here next Sunday.
Stay safe,
-me
It's Friday and I finally am able to make a comment (I guess I'm having computer problems)...
ReplyDeleteYo Don... We never appreciate the freedom we have until they are gone. By the way I liked the Cartoon of the week you had posted with the guy holding up pictures of fireworks, pretty cool for those who could not afford the purchase such items.
Oh and while I don't want to stir up things, (actually I do) why don't you root for a team that might just win something. BOO REDS !!! I understand that some of your loyal readers might take issue with me for disagreeing with you, but it just makes no sense standing behind a bad team like the reds. :)
Disagree? Bring it on. I can hardly wait for your response...that is if you have one. :)
No, Lee, I believe the snafu was on my end, although I'm not quite sure what the hiccup was. Now, about the Reds. I've been a fan since the 70's, with my fav-o-rite player being Mr. Peter Edward Rose. Who, by the way, should be atop his throne in the HOF. I choose to turn the other cheek to your VERY disrespectful comments. Shame, shame, shame on you. I did think it interesting you failed to mention a team you desire to win.
ReplyDeleteOOPS... Disrespect was not aimed at you other than to get a rise out of you :)
ReplyDeleteI am a died in the wool St. Louis fan having grown up in Missouri just north of Kansas City.
I used be a Kansas City fan back in the 50's & 60's when they were the Kansas City Athletics but the Royals have never excited me much.
BTW I also am a personal fan of Pete Rose and I totally agree with your belief about his HOF status.
Turning the other cheek? Where's the fun in that? I still say Boo Red's
